FINAL PRESENTATION



                  FINAL PRESENTATION



Hello we are Juan Felipe rios, Juan Esteban Godoy and Jose Miguel Quintero from 6A, finally we are in the last step that is to present you a survey we asked to different people in the school and outside, this also include a general objective and some specific objectives.

You will understand in this presentation the 3 traditional dishes we choose and how the ingredients of the recette were modified to others more healthy and organic.

We chose this ingredients because those are sustainable for the world, some are organic and not processed, others reduce the impact to the environment or been light , this products can make this dessert healthy and delicious.

  1. 2 cups of common flour.
  2. 1 teaspoon of fine salt.
  3. 1/2 teaspoon of sugar.
  4. 1/2 cup of warm water
  5. 1 packet of baking powder.
  6. 1 and 1/2 spoonful. of butter.
  7. 1 spoonful fat of baking soda.
  8. Coarse salt.







INGREDIENTS MODIFIED









  • margarine because it has less fat
  • sea ​​salt
  • sugar brunette







AREPA DE HUEVO

ORIGINAL INGREDIENTS

1Margarine bar
1 Pound of Corn Flour
1 Liter of sunflower oil for frying.
5 Units of Eggs.
1 teaspoon salt.
Water.                                                                                        
INGREDIENTS MODIFIED

-Tortillas 100% maize free of fats and cholesterol -organic egg -sea ​​salt -100% pure canola butter, low in fat and sodium


We choose these ingredients because they are sustainable, it don't have any fats and its more healthy than the original Arepa De Huevo, it is better for us and can balance our life because all the ingredients we modify, so its better to eat the healthy Arepa De Huevo to be better.

The benefits are that is more sustainable and healthy, it doesnt have fats, prevents cardiovascular deseases, it is 100% free of cholesterol and is better for us to eat it because it can help us in our life and in our way of eatting.

                                           SURVEY

GENERAL OBJECTIVE

Our objective is to modify the traditional dishes taking into account its original ingredients and also include them as a plate at ALS in eco way.


QUESTIONS

1.Do you think that the school's food is organic? Why?

 2. Do you prefer to buy organic food taking into account its price or just to buy conventional food that is cheaper than organic food? WHY?

3.Could be the school ALS be sustainable if we eat eco and organic food?

4. Would you like to taste the new organic arroz con leche as a dessert at school or in any place?  GIVE A REASON.                      
       


SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES.

1.Implement the organic food at lunch in Als trying that students eat better and healthy.

2.Promote the organic plates and recipes to students and teachers for modifying the normal plates they eat to different ones.

JULIAN'S SPEECH

The last day April 5th 2018, Julian Cardenas from "Control Ambiental" came to our school and did a speech about sustainable food, ecofood, organic food for supporting our beautiful project of MY CÁTEDRA DE BOGOTA.


Here I attached some videos and images that I recorded and took of Julian Cardena's speech:

Julian explained us about the process of compost when we are talking about the organic food.


In this images Julian my group asked about our menu proposal if it was correct to modify some ingredients for our recette.
He started analyzing each ingredient for helping us improve our project.

Ecofoods

Ecofood is not only the food but the process of the food, it is grown without chemical, it reduces the use of dangerous pesticides and synthetic substances.

The ecofood has advantages for the consumers taking care of their health and giving them cleaner food choices.

The growers look out about the impact of production on the planet, if they get along with the land, animals and plants, they will help to improve local food in their own countries.

The ecofood gives to the people all the information about the origin, process and selling of the food. Ecofood is not only vegetables and fruits but meats too, when we buy ecofood we have the certain that everything is done in the possible cleanest way.

FOOD HABITS

Good food habits serve to be in shape, for feeling better, to know what you should eat and shouldn't. When we are eating we have to know how to eat and what to eat in order to obtain the best part from the food. 

Some food habits are:

1. Always eat breakfast

Breakfast is the most important food of the day because we haven't eaten for a long time so it gives us energy enough to start the day. 

2. Eat your fruit and vegetables

Eating fruits and vegetables everyday gives us nutrients. They are the best way to get proteins, calcium and fiber.

3. Plan your healthy shopping

It serves because with a plan we can know what we must eat and helps our body. If we don't have a healthy plan shopping we will buy food that won't help our body.

4. Pay attention to portion size and ingredients

If we take care about the ingredients we can know if the food has any chemicals or bad components that affects our body. The correct portion size is important because sometimes we eat so much something that we shouldn't (even when it is healthy food), portions give us the exact quantity of food.

5. Keep hydrated

The water is the 60% of our body so that we must care the levels of water that we drink. 

6. Take the time to eat 

We should take the time to eat because we have to chew good the food to avoid we choke on with it, and sometimes we don't get all the nutrients from the food if we don't pay attention to this. Also when we are eating we must stop doing other activities at the same time like watching TV or something like this. 

7. Don't forget eat at time

The body is like a clock that tells us the time we should eat, we have to eat 5 times a day so if we don't eat at time we forget some meals thus we feel bad. 

 8. Change to healthy cooking methods

Sometimes the food is very spicy so if we look for other methods to cook we can change the seasoning for another that won't be bad for our body. Change to healthy cooking methods means to change the way we cook. For example it is better to cook chicken in the oven than in fryer.

 9. Buying local food

When the food is imported we don't know what can that have, it could have chemicals that can produce illness that are bad for our health. Local food is more natural and clean from bad chemicals. 

 10. Keep away from fast-food and soft-drinks

This kind of food has a lot of fats that are bad for our heart and body. The fast-food and soft-drinks have ingredients that make our body addicted to them, so then we can stop to eat these.

ECOTOURISM

The main idea of ecotourism is conservation, education and traveler responsibility. 

What is Ecotourism?

  • The relationship between tourist and the community. 
  • Touristic activities respectful with the natural, cultural and social environment. 
  • Enjoy a positive exchange between residents and visitors. 

Which are the negative impacts from the tourism?

  • Damage of the natural environment.
  • Water and air pollution
  • Disappearance of traditional economic activities
  • Modification of ecosystems

This new term was born because of the lack of awareness of the tourist and tourism. In the past the touristic activities involves only the profits for the visitors and nothing for the residents, because of that many societies suffered bad changes

The sustainability in the food is a complex process with specific characteristics. The cycle of production, processing and trade of food involves many consequences on the society, economy and environment.  


1. Efficiency

Improve the use of the resources because it helps us to take care of the environment and prevent the climate change and other problems. 

2. Resources

Protect and avoid the waste or damage of the natural resources because it is important to think in our planet.

3. Social benefits

Improve social well-being with quality food because the are good things that will give us a better life.

SUSTAINABILITY

After some many years without thinking about the planet, today people is realizing that their actions have an impact on the world. This impact it is not only on the environment but on another aspects from our society such socially and economic aspects. 

Sustainability means that is it sustainable, that something can be done for a long-term period and can sustain by itself. 

There are 3 pillars from sustainability:

1. Environment

Sustainability on the environment is to have conscious about that every action will have an impact on the environment. We must look out about the natural resources, animals, prevent pollution, plants, etc. For example some many action will help to look out about this as riding cycle, buying organic food and use green energy.

2. Economy

The pillar of economy means to keep in mind that production will focus on some important aspects as using the incomes in the correct form for investing on infrastructure and care the internal economy. Another main point is to fight against the corruption. 

3. Society

The central motor of processes is the society, more specific people. Today we have to keep an eye on how people is getting affected with the processes. Every activity must ensure the human rights, products with more benefits, good conditions at work and respect people.
